Was ist im Megapack enthalten?

Das Panini Portrait Pictures & Icons Megapack 14 enthält alle bis zum 30.06.2013 erstellten Grafiken, sowie alle Grafiken auch im Icon-Format.

Was sind die Icon-Bilder?

Die Icon Bilder sind stark verkleinerte Versionen der große Bilder. Sie werden zum Beispiel in der Spielersuche angezeigt. So hat man bereits einen kleinen Eindruck vom Aussehen des Spielers, ohne auf sein Spielerprofil klicken zu müssen.

Was hat es mit den Update-Packs auf sich?

Die Updates erscheinen jeweils zum Monatwechsel und enthalten alle Bilder, die im Vormonat erstellt wurden. Sprich das Update was am 31.07/01.08 erscheint enthält alle Bilder aus dem Monat Juli.

Das sind ja jede Menge Links. Was muss ich denn eigentlich alles runterladen?

Bitte VOLLSTÄNDIG lesen. Ein Fehler Aufgrund unvollständigem lesens wird uns nur den Kommentar “Lies die Anleitung” entlocken.
Um einen vollständigen Satz des Megapacks zu erhalten müssen alle 8 Parts heruntergeladen werden. Diese wurden auf mehrere Hoster hochgeladen, um es auch Free-Usern zu ermöglichen, alle Parts schnell herunterzuladen. Sie sind alle untereinander kompatibel, daher ist es egal bei welchem Hoster diese Part-Dateien heruntergeladen werden. Wichtig ist, dass von "Panini Portraits & Icons Megapack 14.part1.rar" bis "Panini Portraits & Icons Megapack 14.part8.rar" alle Dateien vorhanden sind.

Die Updatepacks und das Iconmegapacks bestehen jeweils nur aus einer Datei, daher ist es vollkommen egal, wo diese heruntergeladen wird.

Wie entpacke ich die Dateien?

Nehmt ein passendes Programm zum Entpacken. Wir empfehlen an dieser Stelle WinRar (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm). Alternativen sind 7zip (www.7-zip.com) für Windows und The Unarchiver für Mac. Öffnet nun nur den 1. Part und entpackt ihn. Alle weiteren Teile werden dann automatisch entpackt.

Wohin müssen die entpackten Ordner eigentlich?

Was muss ich jetzt noch tun, damit die Bilder angezeigt werden?

Hast du das Megapack grade neu runtergeladen musst du erstmal nichts weiter schwieriges tun. Öffne deinen FM, lösche den Cache und lade den Skin neu. Und schon sollten alle Bilder angezeigt werden. [Anleitung folgt]

Hast du eines der Update-Packs installiert, so muss für die Pictures noch die config.xml erneuert werden, für die icons ist das schon erledigt. Videotutorial by Octavianus

Warum ist ein Downloadmanager hilfreich?

Ein Downloadmanager, (die Redaktion empfiehlt hier den JDownloader), vereinfacht das Herunterladen des Komplettpakets ungemein. So können die von uns bereitgestellten Container mit Hilfe eines Downloadmanagers mit nur einem Klick heruntergeladen werden, die Files werden außerdem automatisch entpackt und unvollständige oder beschädigte Partdateien werden erkannt und identifiziert. Der JDownloader erstellt aus den sieben Partdateien eine einzige Zipdatei, die wie oben angegeben mit 7zip entpackt werden muss. Windowsnutzer können den Ordner vermutlich auch einfach im Explorer öffnen.

Ich habe Fehler beim entpacken. Was ist da los?

Sollte beim entpacken ein Fehler auftreten gibt es mehrere Möglichkeiten.

Leider ersetzen einige Hoster die Leerzeichen im Dateinamen durch Bindestriche. Wir haben darauf leider keinen Einfluss und empfehlen alle Dateien auf den gleichen Dateinamen zu prüfen. (Also entweder Leerzeichen oder Bindestriche, sowie die Dateiendung .partX.rar). Sollten diskrepanzen auftreten einfach die Dateien entsprechend umbenennen.

Die eher unwahrscheinlichen Möglichkeiten sind, dass eine der Partdateien nicht vollständig heruntergeladen wurde oder beschädigt ist. Part 1-7 sind je genau 950 MB groß, Part 8 hat 110,41 MB.
Stimmen diese Zahlen nicht, sollte der ensprechende Part neu heruntergeladen werden.

What does the Megapack contain?

The Panini Portrait Pictures & Icons Megapack 14 contains all the graphics which have been created until the 30th of June 2013. The Megapack also contains the pictures as icons.

What are the icons about?

The icons are resized, very small versions of the normal Panini pictures. There are used in the search screen for example. In this way you get a first impression what the player looks like without having to switch to the individual profile page.

What about the Update Packages?

Update packages are usually released at the beginning of the each month. They contain the pictures which have been edited or updated during the last month.

There are a lot of different links? What do I have to download?

Please read the following paragraph in total to avoid misunderstandings and errors. If there are postings being related to questions dealt with in this tutorial, we will just be forwarding you to read the instructions again.
In order to have the complete set of Panini pictures, you will have to download all the 8 parts of the Megapack. We have uploaded them to different hosters which should enable all free users to get them in an easy way. You may also use different hosters to download all the parts. However, it is important to have 8 files named "Panini Portraits & Icons Megapack 14.part1.rar" to "Panini Portraits & Icons Megapack 14.part8.rar" to start with.

The Update Package as well as the Icon Megapack only consist of one file, that means that there is no difference where to download those files from.

How to unzip the files?

Use a proper program to unzip the files. We recommend to use WinRar (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm). Other programs are 7zip (www.7-zip.com) for Windows user and The Unarchiver for Mac user. You have to unzip the first part *.part1.rar only! The following parts of the Megapack are unzip automatically afterwards.

Where to put the unzipped folder?

The Panini Pictures folder needs to be put in to the user-folder of the Football Manager, which is typically located at *user-folder*/graphics/players.

What do i have to do now in order to see the pictures ingame?

Having just downloaded, unzipped and put the Megapack to the right folder for the first time, it is not difficult to complete the procedure from there on:
Step 1: Start the FM
Step 2: Wipe the cache
Step 3: Reload the skin
Check if the pictures should be displayed correctly, then move to step 4.
Step 4: Tick “Use skin cache” to improve loading times drastically.

If you have installed an Update pack, there is one additional step you need to follow, and that is to refresh the config.xml file. Just follow these steps:
Step 1: Refresh the config.xml file Videotutorial by Octavianus
Step 2: Start the FM
Step 3: Wipe the cache
Step 4: Reload the skin
Check if the pictures should be displayed correctly, then move to step 4.
Step 5: Tick “Use skin cache” to improve loading times drastically.

Why to use a Download Manager?

Even though being zipped, the Panini Megapack is very large. That is why we recommend a Download Manager to download the parts. The weapon of our choice is the JDownloader JDownloader. Using the JDownloader, you are able to download the Megapack using a container which contains all the links. JDownloader is also able to unzip the files automatically, repair broken files and to identify corrupt files. If you are using JDownloader to download the Megapack, you will find yourself presented with one zip-File which the program has already created of the 7-part zip file mentioned above. You will only have to unzip this file according to the tutorial.

There are error messages during the unzip process. What to do now?

Most of the problems can be identified following the next steps of diagnosis:
- Althoug, some of our hoster change the Filenames and set a minus(-) instead of a space( ). We have sadly no influence to this problems. We recommend to check all Filenames if they are correct. So if they have only spaces or minus in it. Also each File should end with .partX.rar. If some of the Filenames are incorrect just change them.

- The files have not been downloaded completely. Please check the size of the parts: Part 1 to 7 do have a size of exactly 950 MB each, Part 8 is 110,41 MB big. Try to download the parts again which do not match the target filesize.

Installation:
Extract the folder to your graphics-folder within your userfolder (User/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 20xx/graphics/players)
Refresh the skin and all pics are ingame.

Any add-on for the Panini Portrait Pictures Megapack will be resized for this pack.

F.A.Q. - And Answers! All you might ask about Paninis!

Wie erneuere ich die config.xml korrekt und wie geht das bei den Icons?

• Ihr ladet euch den fmXML runter.
• Ihr erneuert die config.xml für die Portrait Pictures. Also die großen Bilder. Wie das geht zeigt u.a. ein wunderschönes Videotutorial von Octavianus.
• Damit habt ihr die config.xml für die großen Bilder erstellt. Für die icons macht ihr folgendes: Öffnet die config.xml mit dem Windows-Editor (Keine Ahnung was das Äquivalent bei Mac ist. Ein Texteditor halt.)
• Ihr markiert alle Einträge (Strg+A) und geht ins suchen/ersetzen Menü (Strg+H). Dann gebt ihr ein: Suchen nach "portrait" und ersetzen durch "icon" (natürlich ohne die Anführungszeichen) und bestätigt das ganze mit Alle ersetzen.
• WICHTIG! Jetzt nicht einfach speicher, das geht schief! Ihr wählt "Speichern unter", dann das Verzeichnis, wo die Icons liegen (Im Standardfall als Unterordner der großen Bilder) und speichert die Datei als config.xml (Wichtig: "Alle Dateien" im Dropdown auswählen, sonst speichert ihr die Datei als config.xml.txt) in den entsprechenden Icon-Ordner. Das sollte alles gewesen sein. Alternativ könnt ihr die Datei auch vorher kopieren, dann die Ersetzung durchführen und ganz normal speichern.

Ich nutze noch eine ältere Version des FM, kann ich trotzdem alle Bilder verwenden?

Natürlich. In deinem Savegame sind in den meisten Fällen ja auch keine 150.000 Spieler geladen. Bilder mit einer ID die der FM gerade nicht braucht ignoriert er einfach.

Of course. Your savegame doesn’t usually contain all the 150k player pictures which are available. The FM is simply ignoring the player pictures which aren’t needed in the actual savegame anyway.

Das Megapack wird lediglich 1 mal pro Saison veröffentlicht. Jeweils zu Saisonstart, mit beginn des europäischen Transferfensters Anfang Juli. Für das jeweilige Megapack gibt es allerdings ein monatliches Update. Dieses Update erscheint vorraussichtlich am 1. des jeweiligen Monats und enthält sämtliche im abgelaufenen Monat erstellten Bilder.

The Megapack as such is updated only once a season which is at the start of the season, with the beginning of the european transfer windows in July. There are monthly updates which are published during the first days of each month and contain all the pictures which have been released or updated in the previous month.

Nun, wenn du das Megapack hast bist du schonmal ganz gut ausgestattet. Zusätzlich reicht es die monatlichen Updates herunterzuladen, allerdings kannst du auch die täglich erscheinenden Packs der einzelnen User nutzen. Allerdings sind diese auch alle in den monatlichen Updatepacks enthalten, eins von beidem reicht also.

Well it is a good start to the download the Megapack first. In the second step, you’ll need to download the monthly updates. You may also download the small update packages published by several users, but those small updates are usually also part of the monthly packages.

First of all you should follow the installation instructions. If you are only installing an update, it is OK to follow the installation instructions for the updates. Anyway it is absolutely necessary to update the config.xml file and to reload the skin ingame. View insallation manual in first post.

Was das anzeigen von Spielerbildern angeht kann es mehrere Fehlerquellen geben.
1. Das Bild ist nach dem Namen des Spielers statt nach seiner ID benannt.
2. Die ID ist falsch (zum Beispiel ein Zahlendreher).
3. Das Bild endet mit .PNG statt .png, hier ist es wichtig dass die Dateiendung klein geschrieben ist.
4. Die XML-Datei wurde nicht erneuert.  Videotutorial by Octavianus
5. [FM12 oder älter] Beim Skin neu-laden lief etwas falsch, zum Beispiel war der Haken beim Skin Cache noch gesetzt. Anleitung zum richtigen neu-laden des Skins.

There are some mistakes which could lead to the Megapack and the updates not to work properly:

1. The png-picture is named after the players name and not after the ID.
2. The ID as such is wrong (typo).
3. The file extension is “PNG” rather than “png”.
4. The config.xml file has not been updated. Videotutorial by Octavianus
5. [FM12 or older] Reloading the skin ingame didn’t work. Maybe “Use skin cache” is still ticked.

Bei 91144321, 9114331 und 9114332 ist dir ein Fehler beim Größenformat passiert (sind zu klein). Ansonsten sind die Paninis gut. Danke.
