Applications for the post of Glentoran Football Manager are welcomed from individuals who consider that they have the vision and necessary skills to build a football team and squad which will secure the position of Glentoran at the very forefront of Irish League football.We at Glentoran have ambitious plans to move our club in to a new era, including the development of a new stadium, surrounded by first-class infrastructure, designed to provide our playing staff, our supporters and our community with the standard and quality of modern sports, leisure and community facilities befitting a club of Glentoran’s history, stature and standing.One of the essential criteria for the position of Manager is to have, or to be currently involved in securing, the requisite coaching qualifications to manage at both local and European levels.In applying for this post applicants must be able to demonstrate the following attributes• Leadership – the ability to bring the very best out of individuals and teams and to instil commitment and a drive for success. • Management – the ability to manage the affairs of the team with integrity and with attention to the smooth and efficient administration of the Club. This will include the management of the player budget, in line with both IFA requirements and Club resources. • Coaching – the ability to identify and develop talent, including the player pool and the coaching staff at all levels of the club• Communication – the ability to communicate effectively with the key stakeholders - Directors, Shareholders, Players and Supporters, as well as the local Community and the mediaThe individual appointed will have responsibility for all First Team matters and will be directly involved with the managerial arrangements for the Second XI. In addition, there is a requirement to support and encourage the work of the Glentoran Academy.The Board recognise this to be both a challenging and demanding role and, as such, will work closely with the new manager in developing ambitious but realistic plans to take Glentoran FC forward.All applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates will be fully considered and those candidates deemed suitable will be invited to attend for interview.
